Arb Volunteer Work Event

Sat, March 16, 2024 • 9:00am - 12:00pm (3h) • Upper Arboretum

Help restore the forests of the Upper Arboretum by removing invasive shrubs.  Bush honeysuckle, European buckthorn and tree lilac all threaten our forests with invasion, but we are making progress with your help!   Please register in advance for the event so that we can bring enough supplies and can contact you if weather forces our plans to change.

Meet us at the bridge over Spring Creek along the paved trail, just down the hill from the Arboretum entrance at the intersection of Oak and Second Streets, near the Carleton tennis courts.  We will bring all the needed supplies including work gloves, but bring your water bottle and dress for dirty work including long pants, closed toe shoes and socks, and whatever is needed that day to keep you warm.
